The Umoja Community Education Foundation is committed to ensuring that students are our highest priority. Our team of dedicated staff, coordinators, faculty, and administrators aim to promote student success for all students. We take a holistic approach in our efforts to meet the needs of all students. We accomplish our goals through a commitment to our mission, vision, and strategic initiatives.
In Fall 2020, Umoja started pilot Umoja High School programs with Eleanor Roosevelt High School and Centennial High School, both in the Corona-Norco Unified Schools District. The Norco Community College Umoja Program provides community and support to our high school students and practitioners, including having dual enrollment classes for the Umoja HS cohorts and having students participate in college campus events lea by our Umoja student leaders. These high school programs are the first steps in gaining a better understanding of the possibilities in further developing the community relationships and partnerships necessary in supporting our Black scholars across their educational journey.
